Chief Minister Shri Satyadev Narayan Jha inaugurated the newly constructed hospital building, Tower-3, on Tuesday, unveiling its foundation stone as part of the first phase of the expansion and modernization scheme of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH). Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the new building and obtained detailed information from officials regarding the modern medical facilities, treatment services, and other arrangements provided there. During the inspection, officials informed Chief Minister Jha about the process of outpatient registration through the kiosks and counters established on the ground floor of Tower-3, the arrangements for light refreshments, and the progress of the work completed and under construction under the PMCH expansion and modernization scheme. Chief Minister Jha reached the fifth floor of the newly built Tower-3 and inaugurated the ward of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) by cutting the ribbon. The Chief Minister also inspected the modern Operation Theatre (OT)-22 located on the sixth floor of Tower-3. The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to strengthen patient treatment arrangements by establishing better coordination among the various departments of the hospital. He stated that patients will now be treated on 2,500 beds simultaneously at PMCH with modern medical facilities. The better maintenance of facilities available in the hospital must be ensured so that patients and their families do not face any inconvenience within the hospital premises. All concerned officials should regularly inspect the hospital's arrangements and ensure that problems are resolved immediately. The quality of the remaining construction work under the expansion and modernization scheme must be maintained to develop PMCH into a better medical institution equipped with modern facilities.
