On the occasion, Chief Minister Kumar stated that providing assistance to farmers during times of crisis is a priority for the state government. The government is working with full determination to provide relief to farmers affected by natural calamities. He said that the government is striving to ensure that affected farmers receive timely financial assistance for crop losses, enabling them to continue their agricultural activities. He directed that a special campaign be launched from October 22, after Dussehra, to ensure that the grant amount is provided to all farmers who have suffered crop losses due to the floods, so that no affected farmer is left without this benefit.
The Chief Minister stated that under the Agricultural Input Grant Scheme, farmers are provided with a grant of Rs. 8,500 per hectare for non-irrigated crop areas, Rs. 17,000 per hectare for irrigated areas, and Rs. 22,500 per hectare for twelve-month crops. He noted that the Agricultural Input Grant will help farmers gather the necessary resources for farming after crop losses.
