Patna (ABN) The Bihar government's cabinet meeting today made significant decisions related to public welfare and administrative reforms. Amidst Minister Shravan Kumar's tough stance, the government approved 17 key agendas, making it clear that the state's development and public safety are of utmost importance. The cabinet made a highly sensitive and historic decision regarding migrant workers. Now, if any migrant worker dies outside the state or country, their body will be brought back to Bihar at the state government's expense. Furthermore, if any worker falls victim to an accident abroad, the government will also bear all medical expenses. This decision is a major relief for the millions of families who migrate for livelihood.
Expressing sympathy with the families of those who lost their lives in road accidents, the government has doubled the compensation amount. The official aid provided to accident victims will now be twice the previous level, providing financial assistance to affected families. To bring administrative transparency, MPs and MLAs will now be able to participate in key district meetings. This decision will curb bureaucracy and give the public (through their representatives) a stronger voice in development projects. A decisive decision has also been made regarding the permanent empowered committee in the Municipal Council, which will accelerate urban development efforts.
