Patna, February 8 (ABN)

A national seminar on "Services of Bihar's Scholars in the Field of Hadith" was organized today at the Bihar Urdu Academy, Ashok Raj Path, Patna, in collaboration with the Abul Kalam Research Foundation and the All India Milli Council, Bihar. The seminar was presided over by Mufakir Millat Hazrat Maulana Anisur Rahman Qasmi, a prominent scholar and Fiqh expert of the country, and the acting president of the All India Milli Council. In his presidential address, he highlighted the contemporary importance of Hadith and the responsibilities of scholars. He mentioned the services of Bihar's scholars in the field of Hadith, saying that their contributions have been remarkable and commendable. The land of Bihar has been a strong center for knowledge, research, education, and the service of the Prophet's Hadith for centuries.

Hazrat Mukhdum Sharfuddin Ahmed Yahya Maneri, Allama Shauq Neemi, Maulana Shamsul Haq Azimabadi, Shah Salman Phulwari, Abdul Aziz Mohaddis Rahim Abadi, Fazlullah Mongeri, Zafiruddin Bahari, Allama Jafar Phulwari, Allama Usman Ghani, Manazer Ahsan Gilani, and other prominent scholars have made significant contributions to the promotion of Hadith in the subcontinent. He emphasized that it is essential to make Hadith a part of practical life and not limit it to academic or research levels. He also highlighted the role of women in the dissemination and promotion of Hadith, saying that they have played a vital role in the field of Hadith since the early days of Islam.

The inaugural address was delivered by the President of the All India Milli Council, Bihar, Hazrat Maulana Dr. Muhammad Alam Qasmi, who discussed the objectives and purposes of the seminar and highlighted the contributions of Bihar's prominent Hadith scholars. He said that many of Bihar's renowned Hadith scholars have been overlooked, and one of the primary objectives of this seminar is to bring their services to light, compile historical materials, and introduce the new generation to this rich academic heritage.

The Sajjada Nashin of Khanqah Mujibia, Hazrat Maulana Syed Shah Aitallah Qadri, sent a valuable message, which was presented by his son, Syed Yaminullah Qadri Mujibi. In his message, Hazrat Sajjada Nashin congratulated the organizers on the seminar and said that it is an essential and commendable initiative that will introduce the new generation to the services of Hadith in Bihar and highlight the greatness of the Prophet's Hadith.

The Amir of the Central Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith, Fazilat ash-Shaikh Asghar Ali Imam Mahdi Salfi, sent a message saying that every region has its unique distinctions, and Bihar has played a remarkable role in the service of Quran and Hadith. He particularly mentioned the academic and reformative efforts of the scholars of Saadiqpur.

Maulana Nazim Sahib, Nazim-e-Ali of Jamiat Ulama Bihar, also expressed his views, emphasizing the importance and benefits of Hadith and the need for its dissemination in today's era. Maulana Syed Shah Mashhood Ahmed Qadri, Principal of Madrasa Islamiya Shamsul Huda, Patna, presented a detailed account of the prominent Hadith scholars of Khanqah Mujibia, Khanqah Maneria, and other renowned scholars of Bihar.

The research paper of Maulana Dr. Shakil Mansoor Qasmi, currently residing in the USA, was presented by Maulana Amanullah Nastvi, Nazim and founder of Madrasa Islamiya Qasimul Uloom, Lakhamania. The seminar was attended by prominent scholars, researchers, teachers, and intellectuals from across the country and abroad, who presented valuable papers on various aspects of Hadith.

The participants included Dr. Maulana Sarwar Alam Nadvi, Professor of Arabic, Patna University; Dr. Habibur Rahman Alig; Maulana Mufti Suhail Ahmed Qasmi, former Mufti of the Emirate Sharia; Maulana Syed Amanat Hussain, Vice President of the All India Milli Council, Bihar; Maulana Dr. Farooq Azam Qasmi, Assistant Professor, G.D. College, Begusarai; and many others.

The seminar was moderated by Maulana Muzaffar Rahmani, who performed his duties with great finesse. The seminar began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Maulana Mufti Jamaluddin Qasmi, and the Naat Sharif was presented by Hafiz Ferdous Alam and Hafiz Mubashir Salma, students of Madrasa Misbahul Uloom, Dariapur Mosque, Patna. The welcome address was delivered by Maulana Syed Muhammad Adil Faridi, Secretary of the All India Milli Council, Bihar, and Secretary of the Abul Kalam Research Foundation.

He said that Hadith is the foundation of the Islamic faith and the most authentic means of interpreting the Shariah of Muhammad (peace be upon him) after the Holy Quran. The great sacrifices made by the Hadith scholars for the protection of this knowledge are a shining chapter in Islamic academic history. In today's era of intellectual chaos, non-authentic traditions, and misinformation spread through social media, the responsibility of protecting Hadith and promoting the true Sunnah has increased, making such academic seminars a pressing need.

He thanked all the participants, scholars, teachers, researchers, and attendees of the seminar and expressed hope that this academic gathering would prove to be a significant milestone in the promotion of Hadith, intellectual reform, and recognition of the services of Bihar's scholars. Important proposals were also approved, which were presented by Maulana Nurus Salam Nadvi and endorsed by all participants.
