A single bench of Justice AR Mishra issued the order on Thursday after hearing all parties. Anant Singh has been granted bail nearly four months after the murder, paving the way for his release. Dilar Chand Yadav, a supporter of Jan Suraj Party, was killed while he was in the area during an election campaign. Police had arrested Anant Singh on the night of November 1 during the electoral process and presented him in court the next day, November 2, and sent him to Beur Jail. He has been granted bail after nearly four and a half months. Anant Singh has been in jail for a long time in this case. He contested the election from jail as a JDU candidate and won. After his victory, he was granted bail during the oath-taking ceremony of the MLA. Later, he came to the assembly to cast his vote in the recent Rajya Sabha elections. It is expected that the bail papers from the court will reach the jail by Friday or Saturday, and it is likely that he will be released on the same day. Anant Singh, also known as Chhote Sarkar, has become an MLA from Mokama for the fifth time.
