Patna (ABN) Union Minister Jiten Ram Manjhi has highly praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 20-year tenure. He said that Nitish Kumar has taken Bihar out of the darkness of 'jungle raj' to new heights of development. According to Manjhi, the Home Minister's description of Nitish Kumar's tenure as Bihar's 'golden period' is entirely correct, as the state has seen all-round development during this period. Detailing the development works, Manjhi highlighted the improvement in power and road conditions. He said that Bihar, which once had only 700 megawatts of power, now has an uninterrupted supply of 9000 megawatts. Moreover, the distance from Gaya to Patna, which once took four hours, has now been reduced to just 1.5 hours due to improved roads. Jiten Ram Manjhi, describing Nitish Kumar as a visionary social reformer, said that he brought women into the mainstream of development, and schemes like cycles and uniforms for girls not only promoted their education but also gave them a chance to live with dignity. According to Manjhi, social development is impossible without women's development. Manjhi, shedding light on Nitish Kumar's upcoming political decisions, said that he has always wanted to be part of all four major constitutional institutions, namely the Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council, Lok Sabha, and Rajya Sabha. Since he has been a member of the first three houses, joining the Rajya Sabha is a big step towards achieving this personal and political goal. In conclusion, Manjhi emphasized that despite a 20-year tenure, Nitish Kumar has never been tainted by corruption or any other allegations. He extended hearty congratulations to him for his "blemish-free" and "golden" journey. He expressed confidence that Nitish Kumar's experience will continue to serve the country and the state in the future.
