Gaya: (ABN) Deputy Chief Minister Sushant Choudhary visited Amokhar village in Praiya block of Gaya district on Sunday, where he unveiled a memorial to martyr Subedar Santosh Kumar. He launched a scathing attack on the opposition and criminals, saying the government's sole objective is to bring reforms in Bihar and that criminals will not be spared under any circumstances.
A grand ceremony was organized to unveil the memorial to martyr Subedar Santosh Kumar in the district. Deputy Chief Minister Sushant Choudhary and Bihar Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar attended the event as special guests. Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister said he is the son of a soldier, whose father had participated in the 1962, 1965, and 1971 wars. At that time, soldiers were given land in lieu of salary due to the government's limited resources. However, the situation has changed now, and the central government is committed to honoring the martyrs and their families and fulfilling their dreams.
He said that earlier, the Indian Army had to wait for political orders before taking action, but now Prime Minister has given the army a free hand. If Pakistan takes any provocative action, India will give a befitting reply. Talking about the law and order situation in the state, Sushant Choudhary said the government is committed to eliminating criminals from Bihar. He claimed that action has been taken against 64-65 criminals so far, and this campaign will continue. He categorically stated that criminals will not be spared, regardless of their caste or religion.
Referring to his political experience, he said he has been a finance minister in the past and has closely observed the state's economic situation. He explained that 27 years ago, when he first entered the House, Bihar and Jharkhand were united, and the state's budget was around Rs 6,000 crore.
