Education Minister Shri Mithilesh Tiwari participated in the State Science Symposium 2026 on Tuesday. During the event, meaningful discussions were held on modernization in the fields of science, technology, and energy, future energy requirements, and the role of scientific perspective and youth capabilities in building a developed and self-reliant India by 2047.

On the occasion, Education Minister Mr. Tiwari stated that science is not merely a subject but a way of thinking, questioning, and seeking solutions. It is essential to promote scientific and critical thinking among students and encourage them towards research and innovation. Talented students selected from various divisions of Bihar demonstrated their scientific aptitude, reasoning, and presentation skills at the symposium. Encouraging the participation of students from classes 8 to 10, they were urged to cultivate curiosity about science, ask questions, conduct experiments, and seek scientific solutions to problems.

The Education Minister said that 2047 is the year of the resolve for a developed and self-reliant India. Energy is the foundation of the country's economic and social development. With the growing demand for energy in the coming years, challenges such as energy security, environmental protection, and sustainable development will emerge, which can be addressed through the scientific mindset, research, and invention of young people.

He also emphasized instilling the spirit of "Save Energy, Save the Future" among students. The Education Minister noted that in Bihar, efforts are being made to link education not only with examinations and certificates but also with knowledge, skills, experiments, inventions, and research. By promoting laboratories, hands-on learning, and science-based activities in schools, students are being encouraged to find answers to their curiosity. He stated that providing equal opportunities to talented students residing in the rural and remote areas of Bihar is a top priority.
