Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi Has Said That If Iran Is Attacked Again, the Results Will Be No Different From Before, and the Pre-40-Day War Situation in the Region Will No Longer Be Restored.
Addressing an event held on Sunday in memory of former Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Institute for Political and International Studies, Araghchi said that in negotiations with the United States mediated by Pakistan, Qatar, and other countries, Iran made it clear that an end to the war on all fronts in the region is essential, otherwise regional stability will not be possible. He said everyone must recognize that fundamental and strategic changes have taken place in the region and the situation prior to the 40-day war will not be restored. According to him, this change also includes the Strait of Hormuz, where maritime traffic and arrangements will no longer remain as they used to be.
Araghchi said that the Strait of Hormuz remained open for several decades, and instead of obstructing ship movements, Iran and Oman worked to ensure safety, security, and environmental protection; however, the current war has changed the situation. He said that talks on these matters have taken place between Iran and Oman, and discussions will continue.
The Iranian Foreign Minister said that these days there is talk of war again, but they are thinking about the post-war phase. He stated that if logic prevails, there will be no military attack or aggression against Iran again. Araghchi said the opposing party has already made this attempt twice and seen the results, so if it wants to repeat it again, it should know that this time, too, the results will be no different from before.
Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Baqer Qalibaf has said that the Iranian nation will not be intimidated by US military threats and pressure, and any violation of Iran's territorial integrity will be met with a response beyond the enemy's imagination.
Addressing a parliamentary session, Qalibaf said that threats of full-scale war or assassination cannot force the Iranian nation to surrender its rights and interests. According to him, as long as the US does not change its behavior, abandon bullying and threats, and practically compensate for its broken promises, American claims will hold no credibility in Tehran's view.
He said Iran is prepared to defend its territorial integrity and will respond to any violation in a manner the enemy cannot even imagine. Qalibaf also stated that under the current circumstances, there is simply no question of Iran stepping back from its rights and interests. Meanwhile, the Iranian military has claimed that its air defense system shot down an American-made LUCAS drone in the airspace of the coastal city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran. According to Iranian state media, the drone was targeted by the air defense system in the incident; however, no further technical details were provided in this regard.

However, the Iranian military did not provide further technical details about the incident, the drone's mission, or the method used to shoot it down.
