Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) National President Mayawati has issued a significant statement regarding the party’s National Convenor, Akash Anand. Praising Anand’s dedication to the party and its activities, the BSP President stated that he is now discharging his responsibilities with considerable wisdom and maturity.
Mayawati appealed to party workers and the Bahujan Samaj people to ensure the success of Mr. Anand’s programs. She noted that since his relative Ashok Siddharth retired from politics, Mr. Anand has begun working with great diligence and speed in his capacity as BSP National Convenor. However, she emphasized that fulfilling one’s duties is more important than giving preference to family and kinship in the work of the party and the movement.
According to Mayawati, Mr. Anand will address BSP public meetings in several districts of Uttar Pradesh in the coming days. As per the scheduled program, public meetings will be held in Bulandshahr on October 28, Saharanpur on November 2, Ayodhya on November 20, Agra on November 22, and Kanpur Nagar on November 29.
Through these programs, Mr. Anand will strengthen the party’s organization and public base while establishing direct contact with the workers.
The BSP President stated that on November 26, on the occasion of Constitution Day, Akash Anand will express his views as a special guest at the 'Vichar Sangeethi Samaro' organized by the BSP in Punjab State. Subsequently, on December 6, on the occasion of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Din, Akash Anand will also address the 'Vichar Sangeethi Samaro' / public meeting to be held in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand.
In her statement, Mayawati also clarified her position on the ongoing debate and rumors regarding Mr. Siddharth. She stated that Mr. Anand and his relative Mr. Siddharth were largely responsible for the unfortunate incidents that occurred recently, which led to the advice given to them to leave the party and retire from politics. She clearly stated that Mr. Siddharth will not be readmitted to the BSP under any circumstances or at any cost.
Appealing to party workers to ignore such rumors, she said that selfish elements are attempting to mislead people through various tricks. Therefore, all party members must remain vigilant and alert.
The BSP leader appealed to party workers to make all programs entrusted to Akash Anand successful with their full heart, mind, and soul. She said that Mr. Anand’s activity has brought momentum to the party’s work, and workers should ensure the full success of his programs.
In her statement, Mayawati also mentioned Mr. Anand’s younger brother, Ishan Anand. She informed that Ishan Anand, who has completed his law degree in London, will also assist in the party’s election and other paperwork at the BSP’s central office in Delhi as an active worker under his guidance. Her statement indicates that Akash Anand is once again being given an important role in the BSP’s organizational and public outreach campaign. The responsibility of holding continuous rallies in several districts of UP and his presence in national-level programs reflect his active role in the party. Meanwhile, Mayawati has firmly rejected the possibility of Mr. Siddharth’s return to the party. In this context, Mr. Anand’s activity and the role of the party’s young leadership will remain extremely important in the BSP’s upcoming political activities.
