Providing quality coaching, expert guidance, and necessary support to candidates preparing for competitive examinations

Patna: The scope of the state government’s State Coaching Scheme, aimed at providing better educational opportunities to minority youth for competitive exam preparation, is continuously expanding. During the fiscal years 2024-25 and 2025-26, coaching programs were conducted for a total of 3,610 students, of whom 1,043 candidates succeeded. In fiscal year 2026-27, coaching programs for 693 students have been approved so far.

According to information received from the Minority Welfare Department, 1,230 students received coaching opportunities in fiscal year 2024-25, with 545 succeeding. Subsequently, in fiscal year 2025-26, the scope of the coaching program expanded to 2,380 students, marking an increase of 1,150 candidates in one year and nearly a 1.9-fold expansion of the scheme’s reach. However, the number of successful candidates during this period remained at 498.

The coaching programs approved for 693 candidates in fiscal year 2026-27 include preparation for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) preliminary examination. Additionally, the scheme provides motor vehicle skill training for candidates who have cleared the Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) Driver Constable competitive exam. This will enable candidates to better prepare for various stages of competitive examinations.

Under the State Coaching Scheme, youth from Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi communities benefit. The scheme aims to provide quality coaching, expert guidance, and necessary educational support to candidates preparing for competitive exams. Through this scheme, young people are systematically prepared for different stages of examinations, enabling them to perform better and access employment opportunities, including government services.
