Pattana, 11 October (ABN) – Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary inspected the construction work of the Pattana Metro Rail Project at Nahro Pathe on Sunday. During the visit he examined construction sites near Income Tax Golambar, High Court Chowk, and Hanuman Mandir, and obtained progress details from the relevant officers. He instructed that the metro project be completed by 2028 and that all prescribed standards of quality and safety be strictly enforced.

While inspecting, the Chief Minister also directed the construction of a foot‑over bridge between J.D.V. Men’s College and the High Court Chowk to the Bahar Museum to facilitate pedestrian movement at Nahro Pathe. He emphasized that public amenities must be considered alongside the metro construction, and that the work should be carried out in a manner that minimally disrupts daily traffic.

He stressed prioritizing better traffic management and citizen safety around the construction sites, urging all relevant departments and construction agencies to coordinate closely so that the public is not subjected to unnecessary inconvenience. He also ordered regular monitoring of the construction work and urged a faster pace of progress.

The Chief Minister described the Pattana Metro Rail Project as vital to the capital’s transport system and clarified that no compromise should be made on quality, safety, or public convenience while accelerating construction. He noted that only through improved planning and effective inter‑departmental coordination can the project be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

During the inspection, Deputy Chief Minister V. J. Kumar Chaudhary, Cooperative Minister Ram Karpal Yadu, Minister of Science, Technology and Technical Education Sheila Kumar, and senior officials from various departments were present. They included Principal Secretary Naye K. Pal, Pankaj K. Pal, Chief Minister’s Secretary Lokesh K. Singh, Managing Director of Pattana Metro Sandeep K. R. Padoch Kat, Pran K. Pras, District Magistrate of Pattana K. K. Kandan, and Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya Sharma.
