Patna (ABN) The General Administration Department of the Bihar government has issued an important notification, transferring and posting several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The reshuffle includes changes in the responsibilities of senior officers, including sub-divisional officers. According to the notification, Meenak Verma, Project Director of the Bihar Education Project Council, has been transferred and appointed as Secretary, Planning and Development Department, until further orders, while retaining the additional charge of Investigation Commissioner. Meanwhile, Kapil Ashok will take additional charge of Managing Director, Bihar State Fruit and Vegetable Development Corporation.

New appointments have also been made to the posts of Directors and Managing Directors in various departments. Amit Kumar Pandey has been appointed as Executive Director, State Health Committee, while Sunil Kumar has been appointed as Managing Director, Bihar State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation. Anil Kumar will take over as Director, Department of Information and Public Relations. Additionally, Saharsh Bhagat has been appointed as Director, Land Records and Survey, Aman Sameer as Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Manish Kumar Meena as Director, Mines.

Changes have also been made within the Education Department, with Vikram Veerkr being appointed as Director, Primary Education, and Naveen Kumar as Project Director, Bihar Education Project Council. To speed up development work in districts, Deputy Development Commissioners (DDCs) and Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) have also been transferred. Akash Choudhary has been appointed as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Begusarai, Neelam Sahoo for Nawada, and Naharika Chhibi for Buxar.

New faces have been appointed to oversee law and order at the sub-divisional level. Nishant Sahara has been appointed as Sub-Divisional Officer, Motihari Sadar, Pradhuman Singh Yadav for Katihar, Anjali Sharma for Arij, Shipra Vijay Kumar Choudhary for Ara Sadar, Dr. Neeta Kumari for Sasaram, and Krishna Chandra Gupta for Kahalgaon.

The list includes several officers who were waiting for posting. For instance, Dharmendra Kumar has been appointed as Director, Social Protection, Dr. Vidyapati Singh as Director, Handloom, and Tushar Singla as Director, Fisheries. Surabhi Suman Yadav has been appointed as Director, Agriculture, and Yatendra Kumar Pal as Managing Director, Bihar State Textbook Publishing Corporation Limited.

The government has equated the posts of Amit Kumar Pandey and Sunil Kumar (2014 batch) to the level of Additional Secretary, and those of Kumar Anurag, Sumeet Kumar, Naveen Kumar, and Yatendra Kumar Pal (2019 batch) to the level of Joint Secretary.
