In Patna, the state capital, bird flu (H5N1) has been confirmed after the sudden death of crows and chickens in PC Colony, Kankarbagh's Sector Park and Patna High Court premises. Samples were sent to Bhopal for testing after suspicion of bird flu. After the report arrived, the administration declared an area of one kilometer around the affected area as infected. Meanwhile, the administration has appealed to the public to remain vigilant and avoid rumors. After the confirmation of bird flu in dead crows and chickens in the city, the Patna zoo administration had sent water, soil, blood, and other samples from the zoo to Bhopal lab for testing. Now, special vigilance is being maintained at the zoo until the report arrives. The bird enclosures in the Patna zoo are being cleaned, and a special team of doctors is continuously monitoring the health of the birds. The Patna zoo has been closed till March 7 due to bird flu. It is clear that bird flu spreads to humans through contact with infected birds. If a person comes into contact with a sick bird, its saliva, nasal secretions, or droppings, they can get sick. At the same time, the fine particles of the virus spread in the air when infected birds flap or chirp, which can enter the body through breathing. According to experts, if a person is infected with bird flu, they may experience symptoms such as high fever, cough, sore throat, muscle pain, and difficulty breathing.
