Patna, December 18: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday flagged off 34 mobile forensic vans from One Anne Marg to collect evidence and assist in crime investigation. Before the departure of the forensic vans, the Chief Minister inspected the vehicles and inquired about the arrangements and available facilities.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that since 2005, the rule of law has been established, giving top priority to maintaining peace and order. Several measures have been taken to achieve this goal. A zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against crime and corruption. He further said that 34 new mobile forensic vans have been launched to expedite the investigation of criminal cases. All these vans are equipped with modern investigative tools. These vans will be able to start the investigation immediately upon reaching the scene.
He said that earlier, evidence was collected from the scene and sent to the forensic lab for examination, which took a lot of time, and the delay caused dissatisfaction among the families of the victims. Now, the mobile team will start the investigation at the scene, which will be much easier.
