The university's administrator, Maulana Rizwan Qasmi, urged students to follow the path shown by the Holy Quran. A grand ceremony for the completion of Quran memorization was held at Jamia Safa.
Patna: A grand and soul-stirring ceremony was held at Jamia Safa in the Azimabad Colony of Patna to mark the completion of the Quran memorization, which was presided over by Maulana Rizwan Qasmi. A large number of scholars, students, and local residents participated in this blessed event.
Addressing the ceremony, Maulana Nazim Qasmi said that memorizing the Quran is not just an educational stage, but a great religious responsibility. Congratulating the memorizers, he said that preserving the Quran in the hearts is a guarantee of the identity and survival of the Muslim Ummah. Maulana Nazim Qasmi urged students to act upon the Quran and implement its teachings in their practical lives.
Discussing the concept of the Quran being created or uncreated, he said that during the Abbasid era, the "Mu'tazila" presented the theory that the Quran is created. They believed that if the Quran is considered uncreated, it would add another eternal entity to Allah's essence. Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal strongly opposed this theory and suffered greatly but did not accept that the Quran is created. He clarified that the attribute of speech cannot be separated from Allah's essence. The Quran is an attribute of Allah, and Allah's attributes are not created. Therefore, whoever calls the Quran created has deviated from the path of the majority of the Ummah and the righteous predecessors.
Presiding over the ceremony, Maulana Rizwan Qasmi appreciated the religious and educational services of Jamia Safa and said that such institutions play a vital role in reforming society and providing religious training to the new generation. He valued the sacrifices of teachers and parents.
During the ceremony, students who completed the Quran memorization were awarded prizes and certificates of appreciation, which created an atmosphere of joy and excitement among the students. Under the leadership of Maulana Rizwan, this institution is moving forward on the path of progress. Every year, around 10 to 15 memorizers graduate from here and go to their respective areas to spread religious knowledge. The institution runs with the support of the people. Today, five students completed the memorization, including Muhammad Umar Banka, Muhammad Tajuddin Supaul, Mahbub Alam Sitamadhi, Muhammad Rehan Araria, and Mehtab Alam Araria.
Finally, the memorizers were honored with a turban ceremony, and the event concluded with a prayer. Special prayers were offered for the country's prosperity, peace, and the bright future of the Quran memorizers. The event was attended by notable figures, including Hashim Parvez alias Raju, Javed Nasar, Mufti Naseem al-Huda, Maulana Muhammad Zaheer, Professor Muhammad Nazim, Zafiruddin, Mubashir, Mehtab Alam, and Professor Danish Abbas.
