Patna/Purnia, 26 December (ABN). Bihar government's Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, Vijay Sinha, on Friday reviewed hundreds of land-related complaints and requests from all zones of the district during the Land Reforms Public Welfare Samvad in Purnia. In the presence of senior departmental officers, Additional Collector, Deputy Collector, Circle Officer, and concerned revenue officials, each applicant's issue was heard seriously. Clear and concrete instructions were issued on the spot to ensure prompt action and timely resolution in all cases. Vijay Sinha issued clear instructions on the spot that the latest information regarding land should be made available from the Green Card and Red Card issued by the government, and the identification and verification of individuals holding Green Card or Red Card land should be ensured. If the intervention of land mafia or brokers is found at any level in this process, strict action should be taken against them without delay. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard. Vijay Sinha said that those who create disputes in the name of mutation, correction, or land measurement will not be spared under any circumstances. Instructions have also been given to register an FIR in such cases. Deputy Chief Minister Sinha said that the purpose of this program is not to grab headlines, deliver speeches, or demoralize any official. The basic objective of this public dialogue is to understand land and revenue-related issues, resolve them at the grassroots level, and establish a transparent system that minimizes the possibility of land disputes in the future. If any dispute arises, its resolution should be ensured within the stipulated time frame at the level of Circle Officer, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Additional Collector, and Divisional Commissioner. Vijay Sinha said that the Land Reforms Public Welfare Samvad is a serious and people-centric initiative of the new government. Under this initiative, within the next 100 days, discussions will be held with common people, their concerns will be addressed, and public opinion will be solicited directly. Our goal is not to strengthen individuals but to strengthen the system. Whether we are here or not, the process of transparent, concrete, and reliable solutions in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department should continue. He said that the basic objective of the Land Reforms Public Welfare Samvad, which started on 12 December, is to ensure the resolution of the maximum number of cases, giving top priority to issues like mutation, revision, and land measurement, so that a large number of citizens can get relief by 14 January, Makar Sankranti. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the double-engine government's good governance, marching towards prosperity with peace, will ensure fair, transparent, and timely resolution of land-related issues of every Bihari.
