The appointment letter received by the Chief Minister for the selected candidates

Patna, August 22: (ABN) The initiative of Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department and Bihar Skill Development Mission to connect the youth of Bihar with employment is paying off. The 'Mega Job Fair-2026' organized in banking, financial services, insurance, retail and other related sectors has emerged as a major platform for youth employment. More than 9,500 youth participated in the fourth day of the mega job fair, out of which 3,727 candidates were selected by various companies. Employment has been provided to 13,394 youths since the fair started on August 19. The appointment letter distribution and closing ceremony of the mega job fair will be held at Gyan Bhavan in Patna tomorrow. Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Choudhary will give the appointment letter to the selected youth in the function. In this event, the event not only provided a platform to the job-seeking youth, but also provided an opportunity for them to start a new career.
A large number of youths from different districts of Bihar participated in the mega job fair organized at Gyan Bhawan. Companies from different parts of the country evaluated the candidates for their qualifications and skills for various posts. The youth enthusiastically participated in the application, interview and selection process.
The employment opportunities available in various sectors including banking, financial services, insurance and retail gave the youth an opportunity to explore career options according to their interests and abilities. Notably, instead of traveling to distant cities in search of employment, the youth got an opportunity to interact and interview representatives of various companies on one platform. The objective of the mega job fair was not only to provide jobs to the youth, but also to establish a better match between their skills, abilities and industry requirements. The department lays special emphasis on providing skill training and career opportunities to the youth as per the changing job market requirements.
Bihar Skill Development Mission is making continuous efforts to link skill development with employment. The Mega Job Fair is an important part of this effort, which provides an opportunity for trained and educated youth to connect directly with industries and companies.
