Kishanganj, (ABN) Jan Suraaj architect and Bankipura MLA Prashant Kumar said on Tuesday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is struggling to win the Bihar Legislative Council elections and is in a poor state.
Mr. Kumar stated that despite claims of victory on all seats by NDA leaders, their condition in the election is not good. He claimed that after Nitish Kumar's departure, the NDA's political ground has slipped, and this election will prove that it is not possible for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to win under the leadership of Smriti Irani.
The Jan Suraaj leader said during a discussion with intellectuals in Kishanganj today that in democracy, the real power lies in the hands of the people, and this power is not formed or broken by a single election. He said that the NDA government will remain in Bihar for the next four years and Tejashwi Yadav will continue as the Leader of the Opposition, but if people vote correctly in the council elections and support Jan Suraaj to defeat the BJP, the current system can be controlled. This will provide the public with a new alternative and instill fear in the hearts of leaders.
Mr. Kumar said that the Janata Dal United (JDU) and BJP are now separate and lack coordination, which will be reflected in the upcoming elections.
The Jan Suraaj leader stated that the people of Bihar have a golden opportunity to use their power in the politics of the state. He said that if voters support Jan Suraaj to defeat the BJP, it will put pressure on the current political system and force leaders to be more accountable to the people.
Mr. Kumar expressed grief over the death of more than 13 children in the Raghopur wrestling incident, stating that on the occasion of Dussehra, leaders took their photos and returned home, while the affected families are immersed in deep shock and sorrow. He said that for this reason, he decided to go to Raghopur yesterday and spend the entire day with the affected families.
The Bankipura MLA said that more than 13 children died in the incident. Tomorrow is Dussehra, and all leaders will be celebrating the festival in their homes, but the families who have lost their children will be immersed in grief and shock. It is necessary to stand with them at such a time. He said that Jan Suraaj has decided to stay among the affected families for the entire day tomorrow and share in their pain.
