Patna, October 24: Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that Bihar is ready to enter a new era of industrial development. The state government's objective is to promote investment, strengthen industrial infrastructure, and create dignified employment opportunities for youth within their own state. He appealed to investors from the country and the world to take advantage of the opportunities available in Bihar.

The Chief Minister was addressing the launch of Bihar Integrated Manufacturing City Gaya Limited (BIMCGL) and the inaugural ceremony of Bihar Business Connect 2027 in Bodh Gaya on Saturday. On this occasion, he unveiled the logo of the project and inaugurated the web portal. The program was organized by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, in collaboration with BIADA and Invest Bihar.

Samrat Choudhary said that this project, being developed on approximately 1,670 acres of land under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor, has the potential for an investment of Rs 16,500 crore, while approximately one lakh ten thousand job opportunities are expected to be created. The land acquisition process for about 13,500 acres of land is also underway for the development of industries and infrastructure in the state. He emphasized promoting the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for industrial development.

The Chief Minister said that Bihar has vast investment potential in various sectors including steel, textiles, food processing, semiconductors, electronics, electric vehicles, automobiles, and biofuels. The government's priority is to give practical shape to industrial projects, start production, and provide employment to local youth so that they do not have to turn to other states in search of jobs.

Mentioning the religious and cultural significance of Gaya and Bodh Gaya, he said that there is a plan to establish a township and cultural heritage center named Magadh. Work is also underway on a plan to connect Gaya through air connectivity with Dubai and Kathmandu, which is expected to boost tourism and economic activities.

The Chief Minister said that Bihar Business Connect 2027 will be an important platform to acquaint investors with the state's industrial potential and investment opportunities. It will be organized on February 17 and 18, 2027. He also appealed to Biharis living abroad to contribute to the state's development.
