In view of the increasing cold, on the instructions of the District Magistrate, Patna, Alau is being lit at 104 public places in the districts and urban areas, and 26 night shelters have been set up where so far around 6755 people have taken refuge. Instructions have also been given to distribute blankets among the needy. All high officials, including sub-divisional officers, have been directed to monitor the situation regularly. The public is appealed to follow the government's guidelines regarding the cold wave and chill.
