Patna, January 20 (ABN): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar participated in the Samajik Samavesh program organized under the Samriddhi Yatra in Barauli, Gopalganj district, today. Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that you all know that on November 24, 2005, the NDA government was formed in Bihar for the first time, since then there has been a rule of law in the state and we have been continuously working on development. Remember what the situation was before. It was very bad, people did not come out of their homes after evening. There was a lot of conflict in the society, there was a conflict between Hindus and Muslims every day. The education system was in a very bad state. Very few children used to study. There was no complete arrangement for treatment earlier. There were very few roads and the ones that existed were in a dilapidated condition. Electricity supply was very less. We have been working on development works in Bihar since the beginning. Now there is no atmosphere of fear and terror. There is an atmosphere of love, brotherhood, and peace throughout the state. To eliminate Hindu-Muslim conflict, the boundary of graveyards has been started since 2006. Initially, about 8 thousand graveyards were fenced, later some more graveyards were identified which are being fenced. Since 2016, the fencing of more than 60-year-old Hindu temples has been done. Now development is happening in all sectors.

The Chief Minister said that from the beginning, special attention has been given to the education and health sectors. Large-scale construction of roads and bridges has been done in the state. In 2015, under the seven resolves, work was completed to provide electricity to every household, tap water to every household, toilet to every household, and to connect tolls with paved roads. In 2018, electricity was provided to all households. The government has been providing electricity at a very low rate since the beginning, now almost all domestic consumers are being provided free electricity. A lot of work has been done on all projects under the seven resolves-2 in 2020, and the remaining works will be completed soon.
