Joint Press Conference of Bihar's Militant Organizations makes strong demand from Government of Bihar

Patna: (ABN) The central office of the Imarat-e-Sharia, Phulwari Sharif, Patna, jointly organized a press conference with various national organizations of Bihar, including Imarat-e-Sharia Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand, Jamat-e-Islami Hind (Bihar), Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind (Bihar Alpha), Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind (Bihar Maim), Idara-e-Sharia (Dr. Fareed Amanullah), All India Momin Conference (Bihar), Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith (Bihar), and Majlis-e-Ulema Khatibas (Ahle Tashi). The conference expressed deep sorrow and concern over the lynching of Muhammad Atahar Hussain, a resident of Bihar Sharif.

The press conference stated that on December 5, 2025, in the Bhatta village of Roh police station area in Nawada district, some anti-social elements brutally assaulted Muhammad Atahar Hussain, son of Muhammad Alam. He was stopped, identified, and subjected to inhumane treatment based on his identity, name, and religion. His hands and feet were tied, and he was taken to a closed room where he was tortured with iron rods, electric currents, and other brutal methods, resulting in severe injuries. He later died on December 12, 2025, during treatment at Pawapuri Government Hospital.

Representatives of the national organizations met with the affected family and took a detailed account of the situation. It was found that the deceased was a hardworking and peaceful citizen who sold clothes to support his family. He was the eldest of four brothers and a diligent and honest person. After the incident, the family has been devastated economically and psychologically and is forced to live in an environment of fear and insecurity.

The press conference also clarified that after the violence, the accused fabricated a false narrative to distort the truth and prove their innocence. They attempted to file a fake FIR against the deceased. Despite this, the family took the legal route and filed a case against 10 named and 5 unnamed individuals on December 6, 2025. Several accused have been arrested so far, but some main culprits are still at large.

The national organizations expressed deep concern that the deceased's wife and three minor children, who are in the educational phase, have been left completely helpless after the tragic incident. The family's only source of income has been lost, and their future is uncertain. The affected family still faces threats to their lives and property, forcing them to live in an environment of fear and pressure.

The national organizations stated in a joint press statement that this incident is not just a case of individual murder but a serious attack on the Indian Constitution, the rule of law, and social harmony. If decisive and strict action is not taken against such crimes, it will promote hatred, violence, and lawlessness in society, with extremely dangerous consequences.

The national organizations clarified that incidents like mob lynching are not only a threat to minorities but also to the peace, stability, and development of the entire society of Bihar. If effective and strong measures are not taken at the state level to prevent mob lynching, it will have severe consequences.

Demands

The Bihar state government is demanded to:

1. Conduct the trial of this case in a fast-track court and award the death penalty to the accused involved in mob lynching to prevent such crimes in the future.

2. Immediately arrest the accused who are still absconding and award them severe punishment under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

3. Provide a compensation of at least Rs 50 lakh to the heirs of the deceased to enable the family's economic rehabilitation.

4. Provide a government job to the wife of the deceased to ensure the family's permanent support.

5. Take full responsibility for the education, health, and well-being of the deceased's three children.

6. Make the police and administration more effective, accountable, and vigilant to restore law and order and curb hooliganism in the state.

7. Ensure that such a heinous incident does not occur in the future.
