Nitish Kumar's farewell to Bihar or BJP's farewell picture

Awaz E Bihar•5 March 2026 at 01:50 pm•0 views•5 min read

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is a seasoned politician and it is difficult to understand him or decipher his politics. Today's picture may be giving the BJP a reason to celebrate, but behind it is a clever move by Nitish Kumar. Many a seasoned politician has been left stunned by Nitish Kumar's clever moves and has had to take a plunge into the Ganges. In this context, Nitish Kumar will either shake up the central government or succeed in saving the chair of Bihar. He has just filed his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha and has to go there by April 9. Nitish Kumar will remain the Chief Minister till April 9. What game will be played in the meantime is difficult to say. Lalu had once said that Nitish Kumar has teeth in his stomach. Those who know Nitish Kumar's politics closely believe that he will not give up the chair easily.

As long as Nitish Kumar is a member of the Vidhan Parishad, anything can happen in Bihar. If political pundits are to be believed, if Nitish Kumar goes to the Rajya Sabha, the countdown of the Modi government will begin. He can finish off the Modi government in collaboration with Chandrababu, but these are things that are still far away. The most important thing is that as long as Nitish Kumar is a member of the Vidhan Parishad, he can play any game. It is said that in politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies, and it is difficult to say what will happen when.

Meanwhile, there is unrest among the JDU leaders and people are protesting, even though the decision is taken by the big leaders. The decision has been made, and Nitish Kumar has filed his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha. The final thing is that Nitish Kumar is under pressure now, and the leaders around him are standing with the saffron face of the BJP. So, it is necessary for Nitish Kumar to save his politics as well, that's why he is taking this step. But if we believe the insiders, there is still a lot of game left in Bihar. It is also being said that Nitish Kumar will resign from the Legislative Council on March 16.

However, the question is, will Nitish Kumar, who has been running the government with the help of his MLAs, leave Bihar and become a Rajya Sabha member? Will he find a place in central politics after PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh? Then the next question arises, what will happen to Bihar? On the other hand, this will also confirm an old allegation of the RJD that the BJP is preparing to finish off Nitish. The exit of Nitish Kumar from Bihar politics will be suicidal for the JDU, this is the theory of all the close people of Nitish Kumar in the party.

The bureaucracy also does not want Nitish to leave, as any new Chief Minister will be most troublesome for them. The BJP has been looking for a Chief Ministerial candidate for a long time, and there are many names on the waiting list. During the 2020 elections, Nityanand Rai's name was at the forefront, while in 2022-23, Union Minister Giriraj Singh had announced Sumrat Choudhary as a potential Chief Minister. Nityanand is currently silent, while Sumrat is watching silently, and it would not be wrong to say that he is happy with this sudden noise of Holi.

However, there is always a fear that if Nitish Kumar leaves, the BJP might field a surprising candidate. It has been decided that Amesh Kushwaha will remain in charge of the JDU in the state of Bihar. However, not only political parties but also common people know that JDU means Nitish Kumar, no one else. Moreover, if Nitish Kumar returns to the central government through the Rajya Sabha, he will disappear from Bihar politics. Even as the Deputy Prime Minister in the center, he will not be able to do anything for Bihar, and certainly not for the party.

Nishant Kumar will not become the national president of the JDU directly, nor will he want to be one, and nor will he get the stature of Nitish Kumar on his arrival. In such a situation, if the mission of other parties to destroy the JDU is also successful, it will not be a matter of surprise. Because the way for RCP Singh to return to the JDU has been blocked. Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, is already in central politics and is a minister in the Narendra Modi government. Sanjay Jha is the general secretary of the party and a member of the Rajya Sabha. Both are from the upper caste.

In such a situation, the departure of Nitish Kumar, who is the foundation of the party based on the principle of low caste equality, may not be good for the party. Nitish Kumar has been a member of the Lok Sabha and a minister before.
