Patna: (ABN) The Bihar Legislative Council on Tuesday witnessed another ruckus from the opposition. The situation escalated to the point where ruling party members allegedly accused opposition members of using unparliamentary language. As soon as the House began, unparliamentary words were exchanged between RJD MLC Sunil Singh and Minister Ashok Choudhary. The entire opposition, including RJD MLC Sunil Kumar Singh, came to the well and started raising slogans against the Nitish government. The Chairman made a lot of effort to persuade them, but they did not listen. After that, the Chairman expelled all opposition MLCs from the House for the entire day's proceedings. Following this, the RJD MLCs resumed their protest. They started raising slogans, "Ashok Choudhary, come to your senses." After that, the Chairman called the marshals to the House to throw out the MLCs. All the MLCs then left.
In the Bihar Legislative Council, a heated debate took place between RJD MLC Sunil Singh and JD(U) Minister Ashok Choudhary. RJD MLC Sunil Singh raised the issue of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's behavior and said that he should apologize in the House. Meanwhile, Ashok Choudhary opposed it and tried to say something. After that, MLC Sunil Singh said that this autocracy will not work. The opposition is not being allowed to speak in the House. Following this, opposition leaders started raising slogans. The Chairman first tried to persuade the leaders who created the ruckus, but when they did not listen, he asked them to leave.
Before the proceedings of the Legislative Council began, the RJD MLCs started protesting. All the leaders demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. RJD MLC Abdul Bari Siddiqui said that the way Chief Minister Nitish Kumar behaved in the Upper House on Monday made it clear that he is not in his senses. He was ill. The way he treated opposition leader Rabri Devi was wrong. The public saw all this. Now he should resign.
Minister Dilip Jaiswal, while making serious allegations against the opposition, said that the way the opposition leader misbehaved with a Dalit minister is highly condemnable. He said that he was present in the House and heard and saw the incident with his own ears. Dilip Jaiswal alleged that the opposition leader, in a fit of rage, used unparliamentary language against the minister, which he cannot even repeat on the microphone. He said that this is an insult to a minister belonging to the Dalit community and such behavior is unacceptable in any case.
The Minister demanded that the concerned leader apologize publicly for his behavior and not be allowed to enter the House until he does so. He said that the Assembly is a democratic place, not a platform for abuse. Dilip Jaiswal also clarified that the opposition leader got up from his seat, reached the minister, and misbehaved with him, while the entire House watched. He said that this is not right and simply walking out of the House is not a solution to the problem.
He demanded that the entire matter be taken seriously, video footage be sought, and action be taken against those responsible.
