Bihar Assembly Speaker Dr Prem Kumar said on Wednesday that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's entire life was dedicated to the nation and society.
Dr Prem Kumar paid tribute to the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh and great national thinker Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya by garlanding his picture on the occasion of his death anniversary "Samarpan Diwas" in his chamber room today.
Dr Prem Kumar said on the occasion that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's entire life was dedicated to the nation and society. The theory of upliftment of the last person in the society through 'Antyodaya' presented by him is still the basis of policy and governance.
His 'Integral Humanism' concept is not just a political philosophy but a concept of all-round development based on Indian culture and human values.
Dr Prem Kumar said that Deendayal ji believed that until the benefits of development reach the last person in the society, real development remains incomplete.
Today, there is a need for us to work by adopting his principles, prioritizing service, sacrifice, and national interest.
He said that 'Samarpan Diwas' gives us an opportunity to take a pledge that we will contribute to making India of his dreams by following the path of social harmony, self-reliance, and good governance.
The officers and employees present on the occasion also paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
Former Bihar minister Premod Akumar and MLA Mithilesh Tiwari were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
