At the end of the competition, prizes and certificates were distributed among the students who demonstrated the best performance. The school campus was filled with aromas and the excitement of students throughout the day.
The administration of RK Model School, Seawan, believes that education should not be limited to four walls and books. With this objective in mind, the competition held on December 20, 2025, is a step towards the all-around development of students. Such programs ignite the creative thinking of students and prepare them for future challenges.
Through this competition, students were taught that cooking is not just a necessity but a life-saving skill. It instills self-reliance in children so that they do not have to depend on others for their basic needs in practical life. During cooking, students practically understood measurement, temperature balance, and chemical reactions of ingredients. This was a practical demonstration of the mathematics and science learned in textbooks.
By working in groups, students learned to cooperate with each other, share responsibilities, and work together under pressure. Time management was an essential educational aspect of this competition.
The competition also made students aware of the importance of homemade 'healthy food' compared to 'junk food'. Students were taught how a balanced diet is essential for physical and mental development. When students presented their self-prepared food to the guests and teachers, their self-confidence increased significantly.
On this occasion, dignitaries from Seawan also participated and encouraged the children.
