During the program, the Chief Minister said that I congratulate all the women beneficiaries connected through video conferencing from the bottom of my heart. It is a matter of great happiness that today, under the 'Women Employment Scheme', an assistance amount of Rs 10,000 is being sent to 25 lakh women to start their own employment. He said that soon the remaining families will also be provided assistance, which will benefit the women of all families in the state.
The Chief Minister said that we have always emphasized on empowering women. Initially, there were very few self-help groups in Bihar. In 2006, with a loan from the World Bank, a self-help group was formed in the state and the name of the women associated with it was kept as Jeevika. He said that I am confident that this amount of Rs 10,000 will be very helpful for all of you to start your work. This will make your family happy and Bihar will develop rapidly. I am happy to see the confidence in women. We are continuously working for the development of all. The central government is also providing full support for the development of the state. We will continue to work for the development of all in the future.
Notably, to accelerate the pace of development in the next 5 years (2025-2030), 'Saat Nishchay 3' has been formed. Under this, in the first 5 years, the first resolution 'Dugna Rozgar Dugna Aay' aims to double the per capita average income of the state, and for this, under the Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme, employment will be provided to every family.
One woman is being given assistance of up to Rs 10,000. The state government has transferred money to the accounts of 1 crore 56 lakh beneficiary women in 5 phases from September 26 to November 28, 2025. In this, money has been transferred to the accounts of 1 crore 44 lakh beneficiaries in rural areas and 12 lakh beneficiaries in urban areas. In today's program, an amount of Rs 2500 crores is being transferred to 25 lakh women beneficiaries at the rate of Rs 10,000 per beneficiary. Thus, a total of 1 crore 81 lakh women will benefit from this scheme.
